Description:
Remo is a virtual dementia care provider focused on building the new standard of dementia care.
The Lead Software Engineer will be the technical leader of a team enhancing the provider experience within the dementia care platform.
Responsibilities include writing code, making critical technology choices, leading complex projects, and reviewing peers’ code.
The engineer will provide technical mentorship, coordinate team efforts, and ensure successful project delivery.
The role involves owning deliverables, identifying roadblocks, and suggesting course corrections.
The engineer will lead technical design discussions, set architectural principles, and guide the team on best practices.
The position requires building scalable systems and solving complex healthcare problems related to dementia care.
The engineer will deliver high-quality features using technologies such as React, TypeScript, Next.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and mentor engineers is essential.
The role includes integrating healthcare standards and implementing technologies like FHIR, HL7, and DICOM.
Responsibilities also include implementing DICOM and PACS functionalities, X12 and ADT functionalities, and prioritizing security.
The engineer will design and implement automated tests to maintain quality standards.
Collaboration with the engineering leadership team to define architectural principles and standards is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 10+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record in healthcare system design and building.
Proficiency in FHIR, HL7, X12, ADT, PACS, DICOM, and EHR/EMR systems is required.
Strong knowledge of the architecture (Docker, Node.js/TypeScript, GraphQL) and cloud environments (AWS or Aptible) is necessary.
Experience in leading technical design discussions and providing guidance on best practices is essential.
Candidates should have experience building full-stack user-facing features for web applications with a focus on performance and security.
Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders is required.
Experience in designing and implementing GraphQL APIs with a focus on security and performance is necessary.
Familiarity with PACS, EMR, or patient management systems, as well as other clinical systems, is required.
Candidates should have experience implementing mechanisms for high-velocity engineering teams.
In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases, as well as messaging systems, is necessary.
Knowledge of compliance and health data privacy standards (SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST) is a plus.
