Description:
The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for enhancing the provider experience within Remo's dementia care platform.
They will design and build tools to empower healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care to patients and caregivers.
The role involves writing code, making critical technology choices, leading complex projects, and reviewing peers' code.
The engineer will provide technical mentorship, coordinate team efforts, and ensure successful project delivery.
They will own deliverables, identify roadblocks, mitigate risks, and suggest course corrections.
Leading technical design discussions, setting architectural principles, and guiding the team on best practices are key responsibilities.
Building scalable systems, solving complex healthcare problems, and delivering high-quality features using core technologies like React, TypeScript, Next.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
Integrating healthcare standards like FHIR, HL7, DICOM, and implementing technologies such as DICOM, PACS, X12, and ADT functionalities.
Prioritizing security, implementing automated tests, and collaborating with the engineering leadership team to define architectural principles and standards.
Requirements:
10+ years of software engineering experience in designing and building large-scale systems in healthcare.
Proficiency in FHIR, HL7, X12, ADT, PACS, DICOM, and EHR / EMR systems.
Strong knowledge of Docker, Node.js/TypeScript, GraphQL, and cloud environments like AWS or Aptible.
Experience leading technical design discussions, providing guidance on best practices, coding standards, and architecture principles.
Ability to build full-stack user-facing features prioritizing performance optimization and security.
Proven leadership skills in leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with stakeholders.
Experience with PostgreSQL, relational databases, messaging systems, and GraphQL APIs.
Knowledge of compliance and health data privacy standards like SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST is a plus.
