Remote Lead Software Engineer (Remote)

• As a Lead Software Engineer, you will lead a fast-paced team designing, developing, testing, integrating, and supporting technically innovative solutions for our customers.
• You will leverage your wide range of experiences, develop professional concepts, and understand the industry, customer, and company objectives to resolve complex issues creatively.

• Responsibilities include performing increasingly complex project analysis and development tasks, which may require extensive research and analysis.
• You will manage a team of developers to deliver high-quality and timely solutions.
• You will make design and technical decisions for the application and ensure high application performance.
• You will determine methods and procedures for new tasks, establish these for the assignment, and coordinate activities with other employees while leading a small team and demonstrating good leadership within the team.
• You will work in an agile development environment and ensure process/policy compliance according to organization guidelines.
• Collaboration with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads, and other developers, along with internal and external customers, will be essential to understand requirements and develop needs according to business requirements.
• Following established procedures, you will support code deployments and configuration changes to production and non-production systems.
• You will be a thought leader and understand the latest trends and capabilities to implement modern and successful solutions.
• Mentoring software engineers by providing coaching and educational opportunities will be part of your role.
• Keeping updated on the latest technologies with technology training and certifications is expected.

Requirements:

• You must have 3+ years of experience with a typed language such as Golang.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience as a software engineer is required.
• 1+ years of experience processing video files and EXR files will be a plus.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular, Svelte, and/or React is necessary.
• You should have experience in test-driven development and writing automated unit tests.
• Demonstrated experience delivering product features is essential.
• A strong understanding of software design/architecture and tradeoffs is required.
• Experience using cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure is necessary.
• Familiarity with pub/sub systems and architectures is expected.
• You should have a strong understanding and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with containers, micro-services, and related ecosystems is required.
• A good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle is necessary.
