Description:
ECP is a rapidly growing company seeking experienced engineers to join their team and write code that improves life in senior living communities globally.
ECP offers a market-leading SaaS solution utilized in over 6,000 communities worldwide, aiming to expand its customer base and product offerings.
The Lead Software Engineer will play a crucial role in building new applications, enhancing existing products, improving processes, and modernizing the tech stack.
The position involves developing applications using NextJS, ReactJS, NodeJS, and PostgreSQL, while also learning and working with technologies like jQuery, Bootstrap, and Adobe ColdFusion.
The engineer will contribute to a codebase hosted on AWS and stay updated on technical best practices.
Responsibilities include designing and architecting new applications, collaborating with team members, and understanding the overall product and platform.
The role also includes conducting weekly one-on-one meetings with engineers to set goals, mentor, and coach for performance.
The position is remote-friendly, open to candidates within the U.S., although the headquarters is located in Wisconsin.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 4+ years of software development experience.
Experience as a team lead and/or Scrum Master is necessary.
The ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems autonomously is essential.
Proficiency in full-stack front-end and back-end frameworks and languages is required.
An interest in mentoring or managing other engineers is preferred.
Candidates should have 4+ years of experience with ReactJS and NodeJS.
A minimum of 2 years of experience with SQL (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) is required.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience designing and architecting scalable applications.
A passion for writing impactful code is essential.
Experience with common design patterns and object-oriented development is required.
Familiarity with agile development processes is necessary.
Fluent English with strong grammatical skills is required.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
