Remote Lead Software/Solution Architect

Description:

• Workana is seeking a Lead Software/Solution Architect for a long-term contract position with one of Egypt’s premier financial institutions.
• The role involves owning architectural decisions for backend APIs, integrations, frontend native apps, and web portals.
• The architect will coach other architects in designing the overall solution/application architecture and guide project teams on technology strategy.
• Responsibilities include being hands-on in coding, identifying and removing technical impediments, and aligning the product roadmap with technical strengths.
• The position is hybrid for those located in Cairo or fully remote for international contractors.
• The contract is renewable annually, with payments made in gross USD on a monthly schedule.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 12-15 years of experience and be experts in architecture and solutioning of technical components, products, and digital customer journeys.
• Proficiency in designing architecture artifacts, documents, and UML for both backend and frontend solutions is required.
• The candidate should be capable of making architecture decisions at both team and product levels.
• A seasoned software architect with deep insights into the latest technologies and trends, including Java/JVM, Kotlin, Swift/Objective-C, Angular/React, GoLang, and/or Python is essential.
• Hands-on experience with API-first driven decisions and secure, scalable solutions is necessary.
• Experience in production native-cloud Microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD environments is required.
• Familiarity with Agile Development and specific experience as a Solution Architect or similar role is preferred.
• Understanding the relationship with Product Lead, Agile Coaches, Quality Head, and Delivery Head for autonomous decision-making is important.
• Experience managing technical priorities within the backlog is also required.
