Description:
The Lead Technical Architect position at Merkle involves working with a Magento Technical Architect foundation in PHP and MySQL on a Linux platform.
Responsibilities include designing complex technical solutions, providing technical expertise across multiple projects, and creating scalable, maintainable, and well-documented solutions based on Magento software platform or other PHP-based platforms.
The role requires creating complex site architectures, overseeing design implementation, attending client discovery meetings, estimating new projects, explaining technical concepts to clients and non-technical teammates, and resolving technical issues.
The Lead Technical Architect will provide solution architecture for business problems, platform integration with third-party services, and developing complex features for clients' needs.
They will use Magento's code structure and extension architecture, assist sales teams in project estimation, engage with partners, and implement development and testing workflows.
The position also involves staying updated on web developments and trends, collaborating with engineering teams, and building engaging and interactive e-commerce applications.
Requirements:
Experience leading complex Adobe Commerce implementations and familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and the rest of the Adobe Martech suite.
Knowledge of Adobe Commerce architecture, data migration, and managing integrations with external systems like ERP/POS, PIM, middleware using methodologies such as API and flat files.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in PHP development, PHP frameworks like Zend framework, HTML/CSS, JavaScript & JQuery, XML, MySQL, PHP, and LAMP Server administration.
Experience in project and solution estimation, team structure definition, and engaging with partners to understand required capabilities.
Strong negotiation and leadership skills, excellent written and oral communication, and the ability to translate account needs into strategic implementation plans.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Internet economy, third-party solution providers, and competitors.
Ability to define new architectures, guide independent projects from an architectural standpoint, and participate in project planning, design review, and architectural meetings.
Competent knowledge of e-commerce data organization and relationships.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $113,000k-$182,850k, with actual salary based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
