Description:
The Lead UX Architect will be responsible for owning the information architecture, interaction design, and experience flow for the entire front-end interface of a cutting-edge data platform.
This role involves defining the platform’s information architecture, navigation model, and UX patterns.
The architect will design scalable frameworks for dashboarding, query building, and cross-dataset exploration.
The position requires creating intuitive mental models for users navigating complex data environments.
The architect will design user-friendly flows for querying, filtering, transforming, and visualizing data.
The role includes driving clarity and simplicity in interfaces that handle complex, multi-dimensional data.
Collaboration with the Front-End Architect and engineering leads is essential to align UI systems with technical realities.
The architect will work with Product to translate business and user needs into UX requirements and design systems.
Providing structure and guidance to UI implementers, such as JavaScript/React developers, is a key responsibility.
The role involves creating wireframes, flow diagrams, mockups, and low/hi-fidelity prototypes.
Maintaining a UX system that is extensible, flexible, and semantically robust is required.
Writing UX specs and rationales for engineering handoff is part of the job.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5–10+ years of experience in UX architecture, interaction design, or UX strategy.
A strong background in information architecture for web platforms or data-heavy applications is required.
Experience designing query builders, analytics dashboards, or exploration interfaces is a major plus.
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React, component libraries, and web APIs is necessary.
Proficiency in tools like Figma, Miro, Lucidchart, or other UX documentation platforms is expected.
Excellent communication skills, including written, visual, and verbal, are essential.
A portfolio or case studies demonstrating complex problem-solving and UX clarity must be provided.
Experience on an enterprise product engineering team with frequent releases is preferred.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code is beneficial.
Experience with a security product, specifically threat detection, focusing on information architecture is a plus.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
