Description:
The Lead UX Writer at 6sense will lead content design and strategy across all products in the 6sense portfolio.
This is a hands-on leadership role that offers the opportunity to establish UX copywriting processes and practices from the ground up.
The role aims to make products clear, engaging, and aligned with the brand voice.
Responsibilities include managing and mentoring a small team of 1-2 UX Writers who create, edit, and maintain UX copy across the product portfolio.
The Lead UX Writer will establish, communicate, and maintain a UX content strategy to create a clear, compelling, and consistent voice and tone across all products.
The position involves updating and maintaining the UX Copywriting Style Guide that sets voice, tone, and general writing guidelines.
The Lead UX Writer will write clear, compelling UX content, including microcopy, error messages, notifications, and longer-form in-product guidance.
Implementing collaborative processes that engage UX writing throughout the product development process is also a key responsibility.
The role includes establishing an intake process for prioritization and resource planning.
The Lead UX Writer will determine where existing UI text needs polishing and submit PRs in GitHub to suggest changes.
Mentoring Product Managers and Designers to plan and write more effective first-draft UX copy is also part of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates must have significant experience as a UX Writer, Content Strategist, Technical Writer, or a similar role for B2B software.
Proven experience leading and mentoring other UX Writers is required.
A strong portfolio showcasing examples of UX Writing and content strategy projects is necessary.
Experience collaborating with designers in Figma is essential.
A basic understanding of HTML/CSS and the ability to submit UI text changes using version control software (GitHub, GitLab, etc.) is required.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills are a must.
The ability to work remotely while collaborating with team members located in the US and India is necessary.
A deep understanding of usability principles is required.
Understanding of UX research and its application to content strategy is essential.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to set and meet timelines are required.
