Remote Lead Web Development Instructor, Spring 2025

Description:

• CodePath is seeking a Lead Web Development Instructor for a part-time role from December 2024 to May 2025, working remotely in the United States.
• The instructor will provide in-class instruction and serve as the “face” of CodePath’s virtual classes for university students nationwide.
• Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons using CodePath curriculum, coordinating with co-instructors and teaching assistants, and ensuring the course meets program KPIs while integrating student feedback.
• Instructors will be compensated for 2 hours of preparation time for each unit taught and for pre-course onboarding and training activities.
• The role involves leading online class sessions for approximately 300 college students and participating in instructor syncs and check-ins throughout the course.
• The instructor will also implement course improvements based on feedback and propose curriculum changes as necessary.

Requirements:

• A degree in computer science or a related field, or comparable experience in Web Development is required.
• Candidates must have at least 1 year of professional experience in a Web Development role.
• In-depth knowledge of full-stack web development, including React, is essential.
• Understanding of Node, Express, and PostgreSQL is preferred.
• A passion for training the next generation of developers and some experience in teaching or training in educational, volunteer, or work settings is necessary.
• Candidates should be dynamic, inspiring technical experts with a desire to create inclusive educational spaces, particularly for underrepresented groups in tech.
