Description:
CodePath is seeking a Lead Web Development Instructor for a part-time role from December 2024 to May 2025, working remotely in the United States.
The instructor will provide in-class instruction and serve as the “face” of CodePath’s virtual classes for university students nationwide.
Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons using CodePath curriculum, coordinating with co-instructors and teaching assistants, and ensuring the course meets program KPIs while integrating student feedback.
Instructors will be compensated for 2 hours of preparation time for each unit taught and for pre-course onboarding and training activities.
The role involves leading online class sessions for approximately 300 college students and participating in instructor syncs and check-ins throughout the course.
The instructor will also implement course improvements based on feedback and propose curriculum changes as necessary.
Requirements:
A degree in computer science or a related field, or comparable experience in Web Development is required.
Candidates must have at least 1 year of professional experience in a Web Development role.
In-depth knowledge of full-stack web development, including React, is essential.
Understanding of Node, Express, and PostgreSQL is preferred.
A passion for training the next generation of developers and some experience in teaching or training in educational, volunteer, or work settings is necessary.
Candidates should be dynamic, inspiring technical experts with a desire to create inclusive educational spaces, particularly for underrepresented groups in tech.

This is a seasonal, part-time position with a competitive hourly rate ranging from $75 to $100, depending on experience.
