Description:

  • As a Lead Web-Tools Engineer, you will be spearheading a Web-Tools team responsible for establishing and driving the technical design and implementation of internal tools to support and develop an unannounced project.
  • You will develop and maintain web tools to support various aspects of the game development process.
  • You will lead a team of Tools engineers, demonstrating dependable people skills, an enthusiastic attitude, and a team-first mentality.
  • You will provide effective direction, support, and feedback to nurture professional growth within your team.
  • You will keep up-to-date with the latest web development technologies and techniques.
  • You will write code that meets the functional and technical requirements of the project.
  • You will participate in product design and perform testing activities.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders from different departments, including engineering, design, and art.
  • You will adhere to the project’s coding standards.
  • You will identify technical and developmental risks or obstacles and generate solutions to overcome them.

Requirements:

  • You must have 6+ years of experience developing web-based applications.
  • You should be familiar with modern web development frameworks such as ReactJS; knowledge of Vue.js or equivalent frameworks is acceptable.
  • You need to have experience with all elements of web-based applications, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and command line tooling.
  • Database experience, particularly with SQL, is required.
  • You must possess strong programming skills and the ability to code effectively.
  • Experience writing technical documents is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • You should be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, and be able to work independently.
  • Creativity in problem-solving and the ability to think outside established solutions are important.
  • A keen interest in games is required.
  • Experience with source control systems, particularly git or perforce, is essential.
  • Familiarity with modern web-based production tooling, such as Jira and Confluence, is necessary.
  • You should have experience integrating with existing frameworks and systems.
  • Experience with backend languages such as Kotlin, Java, C#, or Golang is a plus.
  • Familiarity with containers such as Docker would be advantageous.
  • Experience using Unreal Engine 4/5 is also a plus.
