Description:

  • Game7 is a company focused on redefining the future of gaming by merging financial mechanics with engaging gameplay.
  • The Games division is developing skill-based trading games that blend speculative mechanics with deep, replay-driven design, set to launch in 2025.
  • The Lead/Senior Game Product Designer will work closely with various teams to create compelling gameplay mechanics and design systems.
  • Responsibilities include designing core gameplay and UI systems, creating risk/reward structures, and developing progression systems.
  • The role emphasizes player-centric design, crafting intuitive gameplay experiences, and building design systems that encourage player engagement.
  • The designer will also focus on game retention and live-ops, defining session lengths, conducting A/B testing, and establishing KPIs.
  • The position requires translating financial concepts into gameplay mechanics and creating visualizations for market movements.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to bring game concepts to life and mentor junior designers.
  • The designer will engage in early testing and iteration, validating gameplay hypotheses and generating actionable insights.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5–7+ years in game design, specifically in mobile or browser games, with a focus on visual and art design.
  • Proven experience in successfully shipping at least one title from concept to launch, demonstrating impact on core gameplay systems.
  • Proficiency in creating engaging visual designs, UI/UX flows, and feedback loops that enhance player retention and engagement.
  • Strong skills in design tools such as Figma and experience in documenting game systems.
  • Ability to communicate design concepts effectively through wireframes, flowcharts, and product/game feature sets.
  • Conversant in development workflows and capable of effective communication with engineering teams.
  • Understanding of technical constraints and opportunities in game development.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted design and prototyping tools to enhance production cycles.
  • Deep understanding of triggering dopamine responses through product features and feedback loops.
  • Substantial personal experience in speculative environments, such as trading or poker, with an intuitive grasp of risk-reward mechanics.
