We are looking for a driven, multilingual professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is excited to contribute to a collaborative, multicultural team.
As a Data Analyst on our Linguistics team, you will leverage your language expertise to support the development and refinement of language data across our products.
Your fluency will directly impact how specific languages are represented and maintained within Lightcast’s global platform.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping linguistic features, driving quality standards, and enhancing product functionality.

Major responsibilities include analyzing and enhancing the data quality of multilingual text classifiers, collaborating with linguistics and engineering teams to develop and optimize language parsers, translating and aligning taxonomies across multiple languages, creating crosswalks from source language skills and job titles to Lightcast’s standardized taxonomies, and utilizing SQL for efficient data handling, querying, and database management.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP, or a related field is preferred.
Strong linguistics knowledge, including syntax and structural analysis of languages, is required.
Competency in three or more languages is necessary, with a strong preference for candidates fluent in Danish, Croatian, and Czech.
Knowledge of multinational labor markets is preferred.
Experience with data analysis using tools such as Excel or Python is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookups, data cleanup, and functions, is necessary.
Knowledge of query languages such as SQL is required.
Familiarity with text analysis or machine learning principles is preferred.
Knowledge of RegEx is necessary.
