Remote Linux DevOps Engineer /SysOps + Some Windows

Description:

• The main responsibility of this role is to own the Linux systems and oversee the deployment and support of a team that handles the maintenance and monitoring of applications on these systems.
• The position includes working with both custom and standard open source and proprietary applications.
• The ideal candidate should be able to support at least basic needs for Windows DevOps and more.
• Responsibilities include planning, designing, building, and defining the monitoring of Linux and Windows applications and the systems that run them.
• The role involves implementing client-requested integrations and supporting the team in deploying updates and fixes.
• Conducting root cause analysis for issues and investigating and resolving technical problems is essential.
• The candidate will develop scripts to automate processes and updates and provide technical support while designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with version control system administration, including management of the company’s version control system, code remote repositories, and branching.
• Knowledgeable in Linux server administration, including management of Linux servers such as Ubuntu, Centos, and Debian.
• Familiarity with web server administration, specifically managing Nginx and Apache web servers.
• Experience with database administration, including management of databases and database servers.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation, focusing on managing the development pipeline and task automation.
• Understanding of Development Security Operations, particularly in managing development infrastructure security.
• Experience with bash scripting; experience in Python and PHP is a plus.
• Experience with infrastructure and event monitoring, including monitoring infrastructure, resource utilization, and security events.
• Proven experience with cloud computing and virtualization, including working with hypervisors and cloud service providers.
