The Machine Learning Engineer will work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, and underwriters to develop, improve, and deploy machine learning models, particularly for credit products and user experience enhancement.
Responsibilities include building signals from data for credit decisions, automating customer service interactions using machine learning and NLP, identifying fraudulent behavior patterns, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes.
The role emphasizes the importance of software engineering skills and experience, as machine learning needs to be integrated into the product development and software engineering process.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 2+ years of hands-on experience building software in a production environment, preferably in a startup or early-stage team.
Excellent software engineering and programming skills, particularly in Python and SQL, are required.
A diverse range of data skills, including experimentation, statistics, and machine learning, is necessary, with experience in using these skills to inform business decisions.
A deep understanding of cloud computing infrastructure and data pipelines in production is essential.
