Remote Machine Learning Engineer

Description:

• Join a global IT service company based in Uruguay that focuses on providing staffing and delivery team services to companies.
• Looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join the team.
• Responsible for contributing to software design, algorithm design, and overall product lifecycle.
• Expected to work through user stories, support product evolution, and design/implement AI/ML algorithms.
• May be involved in performance tuning, testing, product monitoring, customer outreach, designing ML educational material, and data engineering.
• Drive multiple ML initiatives by directing algorithm and technology product design.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Familiarity with data engineering practices and big data platforms like BigQuery, Data Store, etc.
• Competence in web application frameworks like Node.js.
• Skilled in writing SQL queries against a relational database.
• Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and AI/ML components like Vertex AI, BigQueryML, and AutoML.
• Strong background in Data Analysis and Machine Learning tools and libraries such as Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, Gensim, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
• Proficiency in advanced machine learning techniques including NLP, convolutional neural networks, auto encoders, and embeddings generation and utilization.
• Experience in training machine learning models with extremely large datasets.
• Advanced level of English.
