Description:

  • Ladder is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to revolutionize the life insurance industry by leveraging real-time underwriting to streamline the application process.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, tuning, and deploying machine learning models to enhance the life insurance experience for customers.
  • This role offers the flexibility of being fully remote and is open to candidates in 20 states across the US.
  • The Machine Learning Engineer will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure, as well as work with cross-functional partners to develop machine learning solutions.
  • Staying updated on the latest machine learning research and trends to utilize emerging technologies for technical innovation is a key aspect of this role.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in machine learning, specifically in building and launching production models.
  • Additionally, the candidate should possess 3+ years of software development experience in one or more programming languages with basic data structures/algorithms knowledge.
  • Full-stack development skills with exposure to front-end frameworks are advantageous, and experience in a highly regulated environment like healthcare, finance, insurance, or pharmaceuticals is a plus.
  • A BSCS or equivalent is required, while an MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is beneficial.
