Ladder is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to revolutionize the life insurance industry by leveraging real-time underwriting to streamline the application process.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, tuning, and deploying machine learning models to enhance the life insurance experience for customers.
This role offers the flexibility of being fully remote and is open to candidates in 20 states across the US.
The Machine Learning Engineer will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure, as well as work with cross-functional partners to develop machine learning solutions.
Staying updated on the latest machine learning research and trends to utilize emerging technologies for technical innovation is a key aspect of this role.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in machine learning, specifically in building and launching production models.
Additionally, the candidate should possess 3+ years of software development experience in one or more programming languages with basic data structures/algorithms knowledge.
Full-stack development skills with exposure to front-end frameworks are advantageous, and experience in a highly regulated environment like healthcare, finance, insurance, or pharmaceuticals is a plus.
A BSCS or equivalent is required, while an MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is beneficial.
