Description:

  • Zus is a shared health data platform focused on accelerating healthcare data interoperability by providing easy-to-use patient data via API, embedded components, and direct EHR integrations.
  • The Machine Learning Engineer will be part of the Data Acquisition (DA) Team, responsible for building and running microservices that connect with external health data networks to collect patient information.
  • The role involves using expertise in large language models (LLMs) and MLOps to develop, deploy, and optimize solutions in collaboration with software engineering.
  • Responsibilities include conducting research on new methodologies, developing prototypes, creating CI/CD pipelines, and automating workflows for reliable model operations.
  • The engineer will engage in product innovation, continuous growth in machine learning advancements, and collaboration with data engineers to maintain robust data pipelines.
  • The position requires working closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in machine learning, focusing on model development and MLOps, with a proven track record of working with large language models (LLMs).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go is required.
  • A strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn, is necessary.
  • Experience with MLOps tools and platforms is essential.
  • Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure and distributed computing is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail are necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment is essential.
