Remote Machine Learning Engineer

Description:

• Artera is an AI startup focused on developing medical artificial intelligence tests to personalize therapy for cancer patients.

• As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of machine learning scientists and engineers to create AI-based biomarkers for cancer therapy personalization.
• Your responsibilities will include designing multi-modal computer vision and machine/deep learning models using digital imagery and clinical data to prognosticate patient outcomes and predict therapy responses.
• You will lead the technical effort in developing novel biomarkers alongside fellow ML scientists, engineers, biostatisticians, and scientific directors.
• The role involves designing and developing innovative computer vision models that predict patient outcomes and responses to therapy.
• You will assist in the productionalization, launch, and monitoring of machine learning products.
• Research and development of machine learning algorithms to expand product capabilities will be part of your duties.
• You will contribute to and drive publications in scientific journals and machine learning conferences.
• Mentoring and helping to grow a team of machine learning scientists and engineers will also be expected.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of industry experience using PyTorch is required.
• At least 2 years of experience as a technical lead is necessary.
• Candidates must have experience launching and maintaining products in a production environment.
• Strong communication skills are essential, particularly in conveying technical (ML) details to a cross-functional team of non-technical collaborators.

Benefits:

• The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $140,000 to $200,000 a year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
