Remote Machine Learning Engineer II

Description:

• Pinterest is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer II to build cutting-edge computer vision technology using the latest advances in deep learning and machine learning.
• The role involves improving recommender performance at Pinterest and powering new user experiences.
• The engineer will partner closely with teams across Pinterest to experiment and enhance machine learning models for various product surfaces, including Homefeed, Ads, Growth, Shopping, and Search.
• The position requires using data-driven methods and leveraging unique data properties to tailor state-of-the-art computer vision models to Pinterest use cases.
• The work environment is high-impact, allowing for quick experimentation and product launches.
• The engineer is expected to keep up with industry trends in recommendation systems.

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline, along with two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any related field, OR a Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a closely related quantitative discipline, with five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any related field.
• Special skills required include proficiency in Python, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Pytorch, Object Detection, Segmentation, CUDA, PySpark, Numpy, Large-scale distributed training, and GPU Inference optimization.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.
• Telecommuting is permitted.

Benefits:

• The salary for this position ranges from $200,000.00 to $267,272.00 per annum, along with standard company benefits.
• The position is also eligible for equity.
• Final salary is determined based on various factors, including location, travel, relevant prior experience, and particular skills and expertise.
