Description:

Quora is a remote-first company, and this internship can be performed from anywhere in Canada.
The internship will last for 16 weeks, beginning in April.
Interns will work on important projects that contribute to the company's goals, without any busy work.
Interns will collaborate with full-time employees on projects that drive the company and product forward.
Each intern will have a full-time engineer as a mentor and will participate in weekly 1:1 meetings with their managers for feedback.
The role involves building or improving production systems that leverage machine learning and/or AI, including areas such as ranking, content quality, text understanding, search, ads targeting, and CTR prediction.

Requirements:

Interns must be available for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's coordination hours (Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
Candidates should be currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field at a Canadian University.
Knowledge of Python or C++, TensorFlow, and LLMs is required, or the ability to learn them quickly.
A passion for learning and self-improvement, as well as a love for the Quora and/or Poe product, is essential.
Preferred candidates will have prior software engineering internship experience with production machine learning or AI systems.
