Remote Machine Learning Engineer Intern - Canada (Remote)

• Quora is a remote-first company, and this internship can be performed from anywhere in Canada.
• The mission of Quora is to grow and share the world’s knowledge through its products, Quora and Poe.
• Quora is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer Intern to work on important projects that contribute to the company's goals.
• Interns will work alongside full-time employees on projects that drive the company and product forward.
• Each intern will have a full-time engineer as a mentor and will participate in weekly 1:1s with their managers for feedback.
• The internship will run for 16 weeks beginning in April.
• Responsibilities include building or improving production systems that leverage machine learning and/or AI.

Requirements:

• Interns must be available for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
• Candidates must be currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field at a Canadian University.
• Knowledge of Python or C++, TensorFlow, LLMs, or the ability to learn them quickly is required.
• A passion for learning and improving oneself and the team is essential.
• Candidates should have a love for the Quora and/or Poe product.
• Preferred candidates will have prior software engineering internship experience with production machine learning or AI systems.
