Description:

  • The position is for a Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d) based in Berlin or Hamburg, with the option to work 100% remotely within the EU.
  • The role involves productionizing machine-learning models, implementing services, and enhancing the data science infrastructure.
  • The engineer will collaborate with Product Managers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and other Machine Learning Engineers to improve pricing decisions.
  • Daily tasks include designing and developing high-performance, data-driven systems, working with large data sets, exposing machine learning models via APIs, and optimizing solutions for critical business problems.
  • The engineer will also enhance the Data Science Software infrastructure and maintain CI/CD pipelines in testing and production environments.
  • The role emphasizes championing best practices and fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience in training, deploying, serving, and monitoring Statistical/Machine Learning models on large-scale datasets in production.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams are essential.
  • Experience with data manipulation and machine learning libraries is required.
  • Candidates should have experience developing and maintaining microservices in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in English is necessary, as it is the primary language of communication within the team.
  • A passion for data science and a desire to contribute to the future of urban transportation are important.
