Description:
Reddit is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Notifications Relevance team, which focuses on delivering the right content to users through various channels.
The team processes hundreds of millions of posts and user activities to provide personalized recommendations for tens of millions of users.
The role involves owning projects from ideation to production and working with a diverse, cross-functional team to create user-friendly experiences.
Responsibilities include collaborating with engineers to enhance recommendation systems, training and deploying machine learning models, and participating in the full software development cycle.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of hands-on, post-grad, non-internship professional experience with data-intensive systems and production-quality software, preferably in Python or Golang.
A solid theoretical knowledge of Machine Learning and Statistical concepts, including feature engineering, model training, and evaluation, is required.
Experience with at least one of the following frameworks: Tensorflow, Keras, or PyTorch is necessary.
Proficiency in SQL and the ability to extract insights from data is essential.
Familiarity with Kafka, Flink, and KSQL is a plus.
Candidates should be passionate about building delightful products for users and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
Prior experience in RecSys, Ranking, or Deep Learning is considered a significant advantage.

The position is eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units, and the base pay range is $147,500 - $206,500 USD.
