The team is involved in developing Responsible AI solutions that enhance user experience through podcast recommendations and AI Playlists.
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will contribute to designing, building, evaluating, shipping, and refining Spotify’s product through hands-on machine learning development.
You will collaborate with a cross-functional agile team that includes user research, design, data science, product management, and engineering to create new product features.
The role involves prototyping new approaches and scaling solutions for hundreds of millions of active users.
You will help drive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve product quality.
You will be part of a community of machine learning practitioners in New York and across Spotify, fostering collaboration.

Requirements:

A strong background in machine learning is required, with expertise in personalized machine learning algorithms, particularly recommender systems.
Hands-on experience in implementing production machine learning systems at scale using Java, Scala, Python, or similar languages is necessary.
Familiarity with tools such as XGBoost and TensorFlow is a plus.
A commitment to agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and disciplined experimentation is essential.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $136,878 to $195,540, plus equity.
