Description:

Quora is a "remote-first" company, allowing this position to be performed remotely from multiple countries around the world.
The role is for a Machine Learning Engineer to join the team building Poe, a platform for AI language models.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining applied LLM projects, optimizing NLP activities, researching advancements in NLP and large language models, and taking ownership of large machine learning systems.
The position offers the opportunity to work on complex problems and directly influence Poe's roadmap.

Requirements:

Candidates must be available for meetings during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
A demonstrated professional experience in software development and machine learning is required.
A proven track record of tech leading NLP/Search models to solve industry-scale problems is necessary.
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience writing Python or C++ code.
Previous experience in tech leading complicated end-to-end machine learning systems is essential.
Experience with leading large-scale multi-engineer projects is required.
A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is mandatory.
