Description:
Branch is seeking a Machine Learning engineering intern to join their team in Nigeria for a temporary position lasting 4-6 months.
The intern will work closely with experienced engineers and contribute significantly to the products and code base.
Responsibilities include building functionality for existing and new product lines such as credit, customer success, and fraud.
The intern will also integrate and work with various third-party systems, including Taktile, credit bureaus, and AWS.
This role offers an opportunity to brainstorm, design, code, debug, and ship features that serve millions of customers.
Requirements:
Candidates should have experience building ML applications that are not just toy projects; real user applications or open-source projects are a plus.
A solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, ML systems, and data storage is required.
Familiarity with various flavors of Unix and commonly used command line utilities is necessary.
Proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language such as Python, Ruby, or Java is essential.
Candidates should be highly entrepreneurial, taking the initiative to solve problems proactively and contributing to projects they are passionate about.
