Remote Machine Learning Intern - Summer 2025

• MyFitnessPal is seeking a Machine Learning Intern for Summer 2025, offering a 10-week opportunity to work with the Machine Learning team.
• The intern will implement recent advances in deep learning and image recognition, including new optimizers, architectures, and training objectives.
• Responsibilities include training image recognition and vision-language models, evaluating models, and curating datasets to identify and mitigate issues in current models.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be current, full-time college students with at least one academic term remaining after the internship, typically undergraduate students graduating between December 2025 and June 2026, master's degree students, or current PhD students.
• Familiarity with common recommendation systems and large language models (LLMs) is required.
• Experience with large scale multimodal models, such as vision-language models, is necessary.
• Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with PyTorch are essential.
• Nice to have qualifications include knowledge of distributed training frameworks, familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes, previous research experience, and experience with on-device inference.
