Description:

Tilt is seeking a Machine Learning Lead to own and drive AI/ML initiatives.
This is a hands-on role where the candidate will lead by example and contribute to building and scaling AI at Tilt.
The position involves designing, developing, and deploying innovative AI-driven features for e-commerce from scratch.
The Machine Learning Lead will work closely with product, engineering, and design teams to identify and execute high-impact features.
The role includes building robust, scalable infrastructure for AI at Tilt and providing technical guidance to ML Engineers and product engineers.
The candidate will also analyze existing products, develop improvement plans, and collaborate with the team to execute those plans.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must be ambitious, curious, relentless, and a no-ego problem-solver.
They should have experience taking ML systems from 0 to 1 to large-scale, serving millions of users, including LLMs, recommendation systems, computer vision, or NLP.
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in ML/AI engineering is required, with proven expertise in building and deploying solutions at scale.
A Bachelor's degree in a STEM major such as mathematics, computer science, or engineering is necessary.
The candidate must have expertise in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and ML frameworks.
They should be comfortable working with technologies such as AWS, OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.
The ability to work autonomously and deliver results at a rapid pace is essential.
Bonus qualifications include experience with high-traffic, real-time platforms and 3+ years of experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
