Description:
Weave is seeking a Machine Learning Ops Engineer to join their self-empowered teams and tackle fun challenges.
The role involves working with a team of talented developers focused on distributed backend systems, data, scalability, and ongoing development.
The MLOps Team aims to enable product innovation by simplifying the process for developers to build AI-powered applications that require large data sets.
The position is fully remote in the US, with an option to work in the office if located near the Lehi, UT Headquarters.
The engineer will design and develop machine learning infrastructure, tooling, and models to enhance user experiences.
Responsibilities include helping teams understand the data lifecycle, building internal products for AI integration, and consulting on machine learning patterns and tradeoffs.
The role requires building scalable services for data integration and contributing to product functionality for large data traffic.
The engineer will write high-quality, sustainable code and collaborate with others to promote best practices.
The position involves working in a cloud environment and translating product goals into actionable engineering plans.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a high integrity, team-focused approach, and strong collaboration skills to build relationships across Weave.
A responsive attitude with a strong bias for action is essential.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a structured back-end language such as Go, Java, or Python is required, with Go and Python experience being a plus.
Experience in moving and storing large amounts of data, specifically TBs or hundreds of millions to billions of records, is necessary.
Familiarity with common MLOps technologies like Python, Jupyter, Workflow Engines (Dagster, MLFlow, KubeFlow), DVC, Triton Server, and LLMs is required.
Experience with data labeling or annotation for audio or NLP use cases is needed.
A solid understanding of distributed systems and the ability to build scalable, redundant, and observable services is essential.
Candidates should have expertise in designing systems for distributed data sets and services.
Experience with public cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, GCP) is required.
The ability to provide stable, well-designed libraries and SDKs for internal use is necessary.
A self-driven attitude and a desire to learn in a rapidly changing industry are essential.
A proven track record of delivering complex projects on time in enterprise-grade production environments is required.
Candidates should be strategic thinkers with strong technical aptitude and a passion for execution.
