Description:
The Network Engineer will collaborate with the network team to manage and support numerous POP networks and ISPs worldwide.
Responsibilities include supporting BGP and IGP network operations, troubleshooting, and administration of devices, networks, and traffic.
The role involves managing day-to-day service operations in the EMEA region and collaborating with network and operational teams in other regions, such as China and Korea.
The engineer will work with ISPs and IDCs to build, operate, and optimize the network efficiently.
The position requires planning and leading key network improvement projects, building POPs, and supporting new product launches.
The engineer will develop and enhance global standards, policies, and procedures to ensure reliable operations.
Requirements:
This position is open to Malaysian candidates only.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical discipline is required.
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE will be considered an added advantage.
Candidates should have approximately 3 years of experience managing a large-scale, highly-distributed service network for 24x7 production, ideally focused on revenue generation rather than enterprise support.
Over 3 years of hands-on experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting BGP networks with more than five POPs/locations is necessary.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, VPN, etc.) and Ethernet troubleshooting tools and methods (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump) are required.
Extensive experience with layer 3 routing (e.g., OSPF) and layer 2 switching (e.g., VLAN, spanning tree) is essential.
Familiarity with enterprise networking tools (e.g., Splunk) and processes (e.g., change management, incident management) in a cloud services environment is needed.
Candidates must be detail-oriented, process-focused, and inquisitive with a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong teamwork abilities are required.

Working hours are based on UK time: 9:00 AM BST to 6:00 PM BST (5:00 PM MYT to 2:00 AM MYT).
