Description:
The Managed Services Network Infrastructure Engineer will support and maintain the client's network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and load balancers.
This role involves troubleshooting, configuring routing protocols, managing firewall policies, performing system recovery, and applying firmware updates.
The engineer will manage VPN configurations, provide WAN connectivity support, and collaborate with vendors and ISPs to ensure network performance and security.
Additionally, the engineer will monitor network devices, respond to alerts, and perform proactive maintenance to ensure the stability and longevity of the network environment.
Responsibilities include performing configuration updates, firmware upgrades, and troubleshooting issues for network devices, managing firewall policies, handling break/fix services, monitoring WAN links, and supporting wireless LAN systems.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in network infrastructure support, including firewalls, routers, switches, and WAN/LAN environments.
Proficiency in Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and VeloCloud technologies is necessary.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, as well as VPN configurations, is required.
Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting is essential.
Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, Fortinet NSE, or Palo Alto PCNSE, are preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are a must.
