Description:
The Marketing Data Analyst role at Canonical involves utilizing data analytics and data mining skills to understand and shape the future of marketing technology.
The position focuses on technology adoption patterns, visitor data respect, and the use of open source in marketing.
The ideal candidate should be curious about new technologies and willing to work with unfamiliar tools.
Responsibilities include utilizing advanced data analytics to grow product adoption and market penetration, focusing on both quantitative and qualitative data analytics to derive insights, and designing experiments with data visualization.
The role requires collaboration with various stakeholder teams to improve the data and tool ecosystem and maintaining systems for self-service access to data dashboards.
The position is fully remote and based in the EMEA region, reporting to the Growth Engineering Manager.
Requirements:
Candidates should have a background in data science, mathematics, actuarial science, or engineering.
Knowledge in advanced statistics, data sciences, coding/scripting languages (such as Python and JavaScript), and databases (like SQL) is required.
Strong skills in data analytics and visualization tools (such as Looker Studio, Tableau, or Apache Superset) are essential.
The ability to translate business questions into key research objectives and identify the best methodologies for research execution is necessary.
Excellent writing and communication skills are required, along with a willingness to challenge the status quo and resilience in facing challenges.
