The position is for a Media Streaming Mobile Software Engineer (Android) and is remote, available to candidates anywhere in LATAM.
The role involves creating rich user interfaces for connected televisions and media devices, addressing technology stack constraints, and leveraging cutting-edge development techniques for a compelling user experience.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with Product, Operations, Design, and Editorial teams to influence the product roadmap with a technical and strategic perspective.
You will work in a fast-paced environment using Kotlin, contributing to applications that impact hundreds of thousands of users.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing native mobile apps for Android, writing efficient and maintainable code, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing application code for performance.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of hands-on professional development experience with Kotlin is required.
Experience working with video-on-demand and/or linear video playback is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to develop complex, high-traffic Android applications.
Experience with multithreaded programming and API layer programming is necessary.
Applicants should have worked on a significant consumer app that is currently available in the Marketplace.
Demonstrated experience in developing applications that leverage backend service APIs (HTTP / REST) is required.
A solid understanding of data models, data access architecture, and optimization is needed.
Candidates must possess a solid understanding of multi-tier web architectures, as well as object-oriented design patterns and concepts.
