Description:
Jobgether is seeking a Medior Android Engineer to work remotely in Portugal.
The role involves contributing to the development and enhancement of mobile products used by millions globally.
You will work within a small, agile Android team to design, build, and improve key features of a widely trusted application focused on password and identity management.
This position offers the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise in Android development while solving complex problems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Your work will directly impact user experience and security for a large, diverse user base.
Key accountabilities include collaborating with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA, and fellow developers to deliver new Android features, designing and implementing robust, scalable features from concept through to deployment, improving application architecture, code quality, and maintainability, supporting customer-facing teams by providing technical insights and addressing reported issues promptly, and ensuring effective tracking and resolution of software defects in a timely manner.
Requirements:
Candidates must have hands-on experience in Android development with solid knowledge of core Android APIs and frameworks.
A proven ability to apply best practices in UI/UX design and front-end development is required.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, algorithms, multithreading, and data structures is essential.
Experience working with RESTful APIs and handling JSON/XML data is necessary.
Familiarity with third-party SDKs and integrations is expected.
The ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code is required.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment and collaborating across teams.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are mandatory.
A product-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering value to users is essential.
