Remote Medior/Senior Software Engineer - Carauktion team

• Holycode is seeking a Medior/Senior Software Engineer for the Carauktion project team in Belgrade, Serbia.
• The position is full-time and involves working with a team of passionate IT professionals.

• The role includes designing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
• The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the SaaS platform.
• Experience with AWS is a significant advantage for cloud deployments and infrastructure optimization.
• Key responsibilities include architecting server-side applications, collaborating with product managers and UX designers, ensuring code quality, developing microservices and RESTful APIs, leveraging AWS services, and participating in continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Medior candidates should have 3+ years, while Senior candidates should have 5+ years of professional experience in Java software development.
• A proven track record in building SaaS products with a focus on scalability and performance is required.
• Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework is essential.
• Experience in designing RESTful APIs and working with microservices architecture is necessary.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and ORMs like Hibernate/JPA is required.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.) is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to learning.
