Holycode is seeking a Medior/Senior Software Engineer to join the Carauktion project team in Belgrade, Serbia, for a full-time position.
The Carauktion team is a leader in the Automotive IT sector, focusing on innovative internal and external projects.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the SaaS platform.
Experience with AWS is a significant advantage, as the role includes working on deployments and cloud infrastructure optimization.
Key responsibilities include architecting and developing server-side applications, collaborating with product managers and UX designers, ensuring code quality, developing microservices and RESTful APIs, leveraging AWS services, collaborating with QA and DevOps teams, and participating in continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Java software development for Medior level, and 5 years for Senior level, is required.
Proven experience in building SaaS products with a focus on scalability and performance is essential.
Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework is required.
Experience in designing RESTful APIs and working with microservices architecture is necessary.
Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and ORMs like Hibernate/JPA is required.
Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.) is highly desirable, along with a basic understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, and a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with emerging technologies.
