Description:

Chronosphere is seeking a Member of Technical Staff specializing in Cloud Infrastructure to optimize and ensure the reliability of their observability platform.
The role involves solving complex distributed systems problems at a large scale and developing internal tools to enhance developer productivity.
Responsibilities include using Go to build scalable distributed systems, operating on Kubernetes, GCP, and AWS, and managing large-scale distributed systems globally.
In the first 30 days, the new hire will integrate into the team and familiarize themselves with the technology and company culture.
After 3 months, the engineer will be fully integrated and contribute to backend projects, collaborating with M3 and Platform teams.

Requirements:

Candidates must have the ability to own projects from inception to delivery, including planning, gathering requirements, and collaborating with Product teams.
Pre-existing experience in building high-scale systems and sophisticated application services is required.
A passion for mentoring and helping junior engineers grow is essential, along with prior mentoring experience.
Strong time management skills and the ability to focus on critical project paths are necessary.
Experience with programming languages such as Go, C++, Java, C#, or Rust is required.
Candidates must have experience operating Kubernetes clusters and building distributed systems on cloud providers like GCP and AWS.
Experience with monitoring and alerting systems is necessary.
Thorough experience with Linux is required, and experience with open-source communities is a plus.
