Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Member of Technical Staff, Infrastructure to design, architect, and manage our cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our distributed systems while supporting the organization’s rapid growth.
  • As a key contributor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain robust cloud systems, leveraging the latest technologies and industry best practices.
  • Key responsibilities include designing, architecting, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • You will build and maintain distributed systems in a cloud environment and implement and optimize AWS networking, compute, storage, and security components such as VPC, Security Groups, NAT Gateway, ALB, ELB, Route53, CloudFront, EKS, Fargate, EC2, IAM, WAF, Global Accelerator, and S3.
  • You will manage multi-cluster Kubernetes deployments, with a preference for multi-region deployments.
  • Utilizing Terraform to manage infrastructure as code is essential, ensuring adaptability and adherence to best practices.
  • You will develop and maintain infrastructure-related code in a major programming language such as TypeScript, Go, Java, C++, or Python.
  • Collaboration with team members to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services is required.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, with a proven ability to manage evolving infrastructure, is necessary.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one major language such as TypeScript, Go, Java, C++, or Python are essential.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining distributed systems in a cloud environment is required.
  • Nice-to-have skills include Kubernetes experience, particularly in managing multi-cluster deployments, in-depth knowledge of Istio service mesh, familiarity with Datadog for monitoring and observability, and a background in FAANG or startup environments.
  • Contributions to side projects or open-source initiatives are also considered a plus.
