Description:

Chronosphere is seeking a Member of Technical Staff for their Telemetry Pipelines team, focusing on C development.
The role involves designing, implementing, and testing improvements to core product capabilities, particularly those relying on FluentBit.
Responsibilities include owning and delivering complex features that address customer pain points and collaborating with cross-functional partners.
The position requires contributing features back to the FluentBit open-source community and partnering with other product engineering teams on initiatives aligned with company goals.
In the first three months, the candidate will gain a deep understanding of the Telemetry Pipelines product and start contributing changes.
After three months, the candidate will own complex features from scoping to production delivery and build relationships with sister teams.

Requirements:

Strong skills in system-level languages, specifically C, with experience in FluentBit preferred.
Ability to independently manage projects from inception to delivery, including planning and gathering requirements.
Proven experience in designing, developing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting high-performance distributed systems at scale.
A passion for product engineering that creates tangible customer value and a desire to mentor junior engineers.
A flexible and collaborative working style, suitable for a small team in a rapidly evolving environment.
