Remote Mid Backend Engineer (Referrals)

Description:

• As a Mid Backend Engineer at Baubap, you will be part of the customer-facing "Referrals" product team, focusing on enhancing and transforming existing referral programs.
• You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing the backend infrastructure that powers the referral programs, ensuring seamless functionality, scalability, and a great user experience.
• Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate new features, drive innovation, and improve the performance of the rewards products.
• You will also work on evolving the referral program into a micro-service by creating an API and integrating it with the Android app.
• Day-to-day tasks include working closely with the frontend team, participating in all phases of development, optimizing products for speed and reliability, and providing technical leadership to the product team.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding and practical application of SOLID principles.
• Strong experience with data storage technologies like MySQL and caching databases.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Excellent understanding of API design and RESTful principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of DevOps practices, experience in fintech environments or startups, proficiency in PHP and Python, and familiarity with CI/CD practices.
