Zepz is seeking a Mid Backend Software Engineer proficient in Python to join their team powering global remittance brands like WorldRemit and Sendwave.
The company focuses on reducing remittance costs, increasing safety, and enhancing convenience for users.

The role involves writing high-quality code, collaborating with product owners and engineers, influencing technology evolution, ensuring delivery of value, and fostering team growth.
The ideal candidate will have experience in building backend services/APIs, working with microservices and monolith applications, system design, unit and integration tests, and a DevOps mindset.

Bonus points for candidates with experience at scaling startups or transitioning monolith platforms into domain-driven services.
The role may require out-of-hours on-call availability.
Requirements:
Strong experience in building backend services/APIs, specifically with Python.
Experience with microservices and monolith applications, including successful migration projects.
Solid background in system design and architecture.
Proficiency in unit and integration tests.
Ability to design and transform systems collaboratively for scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
DevOps mindset to support the team in product/platform ownership.
Strong collaboration skills with Engineering and Product teams, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
