Description:
Capco is seeking a Cloud Engineer with expertise in AWS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and infrastructure automation using Terraform.
The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud applications and services.
Responsibilities include managing cloud applications using AWS services like EC2, Lambda, ECS, and S3.
The engineer will automate cloud resources with Terraform for easy deployment and management.
Development of serverless applications with Lambda and management of containerized applications with ECS is required.
The position includes setting up and managing automated deployment pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
Monitoring app performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability are key tasks.
Implementing security best practices for cloud infrastructure is essential.
Collaboration with global teams using Git for version control is expected.
The job is remote, with a preference for working hours between 10-18 to align with team members in Canada.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS, and S3 is essential.
Strong skills in Terraform for automating cloud resources are necessary.
Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript is required.
Experience with container technologies like Docker and serverless applications using Lambda is needed.
Familiarity with Git for code versioning is important.
Knowledge of CI/CD and cloud monitoring tools is required.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are necessary.
Good organizational skills for working with multiple stakeholders are essential.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
