The Android Tribe is a strong unit within the engineering team, dedicated to maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
The role of the Mid-Level Android Engineer involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications.
Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features, fixing bugs, improving application performance, and managing applications on the Google Play Store.
The engineer will explore and implement Android best practices, stay updated with industry trends, assist in client meetings, mentor junior engineers, and participate in code reviews.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in Android app development, with expertise in modern tools and frameworks such as Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, Coroutines, and Flow.
A strong understanding of MVI and MVVM architectural patterns is required, along with hands-on experience in creating clean, scalable, and maintainable codebases.
Proficiency in working with REST APIs, consuming remote data, and handling JSON is essential.
Practical experience with Git and adherence to best practices for version control and team collaboration is necessary.
Familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs to enhance app functionality is expected.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adopt the latest industry trends are important.
Candidates should be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
An interest in mentoring junior team members and contributing to team-wide knowledge-sharing initiatives is required.
A strong grasp of the English language, both written and spoken, is necessary.
Bonus points for experience with GraphQL APIs, KMM, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, or open-source contributions, as well as familiarity with the Google Play Store submission process and app lifecycle management.
