Remote Mid Level Backend Engineer

• As a Backend Engineer, you will work on various products, including websites and enterprise platforms.
• You will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for building the engine that powers the entire product.
• Key responsibilities include developing, testing, and deploying backend services and APIs, collaborating with product and frontend teams, and taking ownership of backend modules.
• You will perform code reviews, debug production issues, maintain database queries, and write technical documentation.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in at least one backend stack, such as PHP (Laravel, Symfony), Java (Spring Boot), or .NET (ASP.NET Core).
• A strong grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns is required.
• Experience with backend system architecture and microservices is essential.
• Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and knowledge of API development and security best practices (OAuth2, JWT) is necessary.
• Proficiency in Relational Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) is required.
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques and experience with version control systems like Git is needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking are essential.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and provide constructive code reviews is required.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are necessary.
• An ownership mindset with a focus on delivering quality and scalable solutions is expected.
• A proactive approach to identifying areas for process improvement is important.
• Nice to have: experience with microservices architecture, exposure to message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka), familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, basic knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and understanding of distributed systems.
