Description:
Wellhub, formerly Gympass, is seeking a Mid-level Backend Software Engineer to join their Data Platform team in Brazil.
The Data Platform Team focuses on building and maintaining system components to support data engineers and analysts in achieving their business goals.
The team leverages AWS cloud infrastructure, open-source, and in-house software to ensure self-service, cost-effective, and secure data solutions.

The role involves advocating for software quality, security, and performance improvements, embracing the DataOps mindset, collaborating with Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts, providing tooling for product development, and sharing knowledge effectively within the team.

Requirements:
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
Experience with Python, Java, or similar languages (preferably Python and Java).
Proficiency in relational databases and solid SQL skills (preferably PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
Knowledge of Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane, or similar tools.
Understanding of distributed systems, data-intensive applications, and analytical data warehouses.
Genuine interest in big data applications and technology trends.
