Description:

  • Fusemachines is a 10+ year old AI company focused on delivering advanced AI products and solutions across various industries.
  • The role is a remote, consulting position for 3 months with a possibility of extension.
  • The primary responsibility includes designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure for data integration, storage, processing, and analytics to enhance digital channels and technology innovations in the food services industry.
  • The position requires a mid-level engineer who is knowledgeable about modern data integration frameworks, big data, and cloud technologies.
  • Candidates must be proficient in data programming languages such as Python and SQL, as well as AWS Cloud and Snowflake Data Platform.
  • The data engineer will create data pipelines and models to support advanced AI/ML analytics projects aimed at improving customer experience and driving global revenue growth.

Requirements:

  • A full-time Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a data engineer with strong expertise in Python, Snowflake, PySpark, and AWS is necessary.
  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale projects and products for Data and Analytics as a data engineer is essential.
  • Candidates should have 3+ years of data engineering experience with Snowflake and AWS, with certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python and other programming languages for efficient data integration and automation is required.
  • Strong experience with ELT/ETL tools, including custom solutions for APIs, databases, flat files, and event streaming is necessary.
  • Familiarity with distributed data technologies such as Spark/PySpark, DBT, and Kafka for handling large datasets is required.
  • Advanced SQL skills for optimized data integration and manipulation are essential.
  • Candidates must be skilled in AWS Data Warehousing and Snowflake development, including architecture and optimization.
  • Understanding of data security in Snowflake, including RBAC and encryption, is required.
  • Experience with streaming technologies and task orchestration, preferably Apache Airflow, is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud Computing services is required.
  • Understanding of data modeling, database design, data quality, and governance is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting data pipelines and optimizing performance are necessary.
