Remote Mid-Level Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Description:

• The Mid-Level Software Engineer (Full Stack) will take end-to-end ownership of full features and products, both new and existing.
• They will obsess over speed, quality, and user impact, going beyond just taking tickets.
• MagicSchool is a generative AI platform for teachers, with a passionate community of over 1.9M teachers worldwide.
• Responsibilities include taking new features from idea to delivery, understanding systems and architecture, producing quality code efficiently, debugging complex code, and building maintainable software.
• They will also help ensure the team is building the right things by developing opinions on user experience, talking to users, and collaborating with designers and product managers.
• Qualifications include being resourceful, adaptable, relationship-building skills, and proficiency in Javascript, Typescript, React, Next.js, Serverless & Edge functions, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Nice to have experience in Python.
• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in a startup environment.

• 5+ years of engineering experience is a must, with a preference for 7+ years and startup experience.
