Remote Mid-Level Transportation Design Engineer at AECOM

Description:

AECOM is looking for a Mid-Level Transportation Design Engineer to work remotely and be familiar with the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Responsibilities include performing specific and moderate portions of broader assignments, gathering and correlating basic engineering data, working on detailed engineering assignments, proposing solutions to new problems, identifying discrepancies in results, providing guidance to entry-level engineers, working within budget and schedule, independently completing primary design elements for engineering works, and requiring developmental experience in a professional position.

Minimum requirements include a BA/BS degree plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred qualifications consist of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of design experience on transportation projects, Professional Engineer (PE) certification, experience in designing highway/roadway systems, proficiency in design software like MicroStation and GEOPAK and/or OpenRoads, familiarity with MS Office 2010 software (Excel, Word, Project), and the ability to work well in a team.
