Remote Mid Market Solutions Engineer - North East

Description:

• The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design, and adoption roadmap for customers.
• They will work closely with Enterprise prospects and customers to educate, empower, and ensure success on the Cloudflare platform.
• The role involves being the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare, collaborating with various teams such as Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support.
• Responsibilities include building passionate champions within the technology ranks at customer accounts, driving sales for identified opportunities, consulting on scalable deployments of Cloudflare’s technology, and leveraging relationships to build a revenue pipeline.
• Desired skills include project management, understanding of internet protocols, knowledge of sales methodologies, experience with scoping and running POCs, and answering technical RFPs.

Requirements:

• Ability to manage projects, work to deadlines, and prioritize between competing demands.
• Understanding of internet protocols such as TCP, UDP, DNS, firewall, TLS (SSL), HTTP, and familiarity with clients & servers.
• Knowledge of Sales methodologies like MEDICC/MEDDPICC, BANT qualification, and Sales funnel management.
• Experience scoping and running POCs and customer technical evaluations.
• Previous experience in a sales or consulting role, familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash), and web application development.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts like CSRF, XSS, SQLi, and Cloudflare's role in defending against them.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2.
