The Nord Checkout team is a cross-functional team that develops and maintains one of the business-critical services responsible for the final step of the user purchase journey.
Daily work includes scaling services and introducing new features to support a secure, fast, and pleasant user experience.
The team also assists other teams' development initiatives by providing access to user purchase data.
Responsibilities include designing and developing highly scalable, resilient, and secure microservices.
The role requires writing high-quality, tested, maintainable code that performs well under load.
Collaboration with team members, QA, DevOps, and security teams on day-to-day tasks is essential.
The engineer will ship new features and fixes successfully and on time.
Creating technical designs and writing good documentation is part of the job.
Performing R&D operations and finding solutions to new and challenging problems encountered is expected.
The engineer must demonstrate ownership of tasks from start to finish and constantly learn and grow professionally.

Requirements:

Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of the PHP language.
Proven experience in building and integrating with REST API microservices is required.
Adherence to good system design patterns is necessary.
Knowledge of good code design patterns and OOP principles is essential.
Deep relational database knowledge, preferably MySQL, is required.
A good working knowledge of NoSQL databases, preferably Redis, is necessary.
Experience with message queues, preferably RabbitMQ, is required.
Candidates should have experience working with Git and source code repositories, preferably GitLab.
